Arvest Bank Hires Mostek

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Chris Mostek.

Mostek will serve as a senior vice president and commercial banker. In that role, he will work to develop loan and other financial solutions to fit commercial customers’ unique needs, with a focus on energy and real estate lending.

Mostek, who earned both a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in business administration at Oklahoma State University, will be based out of the branch located at 3900 North Lincoln Blvd. He also is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Commercial Lending School.

Among other civic endeavors, Mostek has volunteered for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and currently volunteers at Bible Study Fellowship and Council Road Baptist Church. He and his wife, Keela, live in Oklahoma City and have two children.

Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City Gets Arvest Foundation Gift

The Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City’s housing and financial literacy programs received a boost in the form of a $15,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced recently at the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City. Leslie Johnson, small business underwriting manager for Arvest Bank in Oklahoma City was on hand to present the check.

Representatives of the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City thanked Arvest for its long-term partnership and expressed appreciation for its support, specifically the housing and literacy programs that will benefit from this most recent donation.

“I am proud to serve on the board of directors for the Urban League of Oklahoma City, and it was my honor to present a check to them from the Arvest Foundation,” Johnson said. “The funds will be used to support housing and financial literacy programs that are vital to helping the Urban League accomplish its mission of assisting African-Americans, other minorities, and the underprivileged to achieve social and economic equality.”

Cross Named Senior Vice President by Arvest Bank

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Ryan Cross has been promoted to senior vice president.

Cross has more than 17 years of experience in the banking industry and currently serves as a commercial banker. He specializes in the commercial and industrial segments and real estate lending, while also helping businesses with their treasury management, purchasing card and international service needs.

Cross earned a degree in finance and international business at the University of Oklahoma and is a current enrollee at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. He is a member of the Bond Advisory Committee for the City of Oklahoma City, treasurer and board member for the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, board member for March of Dimes, and a past president of the West Oklahoma City Rotary Club, among other civic endeavors.

Cross and his wife, Shannon, have four children and live in Oklahoma City.

Arvest Bank Promotes Nave to Senior Vice President

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Brian Nave has been promoted to senior vice president.

Nave has worked in the financial services industry since 2004 and currently serves as a commercial banker. In that role, he is responsible for the effective promotion and generation of commercial loans for the Oklahoma City metro area, among other duties. Nave also holds the designation of Certified Leasing and Finance Professional (CLFP).

Nave earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in business administration at Northeastern State University. He is an active member of the Norman Chamber of Commerce and a board member for both Community Services Building, Inc. and the Cleveland County Family YMCA, among other civic endeavors.

Nave and his wife, Sarah, have two sons.

Belford Named Executive Vice President by Arvest Bank

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Shandy Belford has been promoted to executive vice president.

Belford, previously a senior vice president, also serves as commercial loan manager for Arvest in Oklahoma City. In that role, Belford manages the bank’s commercial lending team in Edmond, works to deepen relationships with existing clients and develops new business. Belford will continue to office at Arvest’s 1501 W. Edmond Road branch in Edmond.

Belford came to Arvest with 12 years of banking and commercial lending experience. She previously has worked at BancFirst, MidFirst Bank and Bank of Oklahoma, and currently is a third-year student at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.

A resident of Edmond, Belford earned a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She is active in numerous civic groups and holds leadership positions with the Edmond Public Schools Foundation (executive board member) and the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce (chair of Leadership Edmond). Belford and her husband, Chris, have three children.
